Dementia is best communicated LIVE! Creative Engagement is best EXPERIENCED!

There is something special and unique about spending time in the same space together, to share the same air, and to connect the way we were created to connect.

My Approach

Rooted in Relationship

For 10 years, Kate has taken the stage to speak about dementia, creative engagement, the family journey, and what it means to live fully alive with dementia.

Your Speaker

Meet Kate

Creative work in Eldercare is what I believe I was uniquely created to do with my time and talent. I am part artist, part educator, and I find joy in accompanying others along this dementia journey.

One of my greatest joys in life is sharing to others about my journey with dementia and a family care partner and professional caregiver. It has been a privilege to stand on stage to educate, connect, and inspire and accompany others on their journey with dementia. For over 10 years I have spoken across North America in a variety of settings sharing in the story of dementia.

Have worked as volunteer, family member, and professional in eldercare, have studied the creative arts therapies, I understand how dynamic and complex dementia can be, and how it is up to us, those working in this profession to find clear, engaging, and relational ways of inspiring real encounters with dementia.

Dementia and Purpose

Wealthy in…

Wealth is so much more than the material. How do we view wealth with dementia, and what can we do to magnify beauty, community, faith, and purpose while on the dementia journey. (Can be adapted for Families, Professionals, or Those living with the diagnosis)

Faith and Dementia

Dementia and Faith

Meaningful Suffering

How faith guides us through dementia. Digging deeper into who we were uniquely created to be and what happens when that is disrupted. Searching for true encounters with God, with Self, with Others.
