The Story
The Dementia Letters Project exists to help you translate brain scans into connection, burnout into creativity, and doom and gloom into joy. This is done by speaking at events, providing workshops in Creative Engagement, and supporting Life Enrichment Teams.
I am a teacher, artist, and storyteller closely accompanying fellow senior living professionals and artists to help improve the narrative of dementia, provide quality care, and help equip dementia and elder care professionals with the “Art Supplies” they need to magnify the dignity, purpose, and joy of everyone seeks to support.
Founded in 2015, and built upon 20 years of experience, immersed in helping care for those living with dementia, The Dementia Letters Project was created by Kate Fassbender in hopes of cultivating a community wealthy in hope, creativity, joy, and faith. Working in a range of settings, including community organizations, care communities, and in the home.
